175 g butter cut into pieces
300 g soft brown sugar
175 g dark chocolate broken in to pieces
100 g walnuts, chopped
3 eggs, beaten
2 ripe bananas
100g self-raising flour
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1. Preheat the oven to 180 C and butter and line an 18 x 28 cm baking tray with foil or baking paper.
2. Put the butter, sugar and chocolate in a pan and heat gently until melted, then remove from the heat .
3. Stir in the nuts ,eggs and bananas until well mixed , then stir in the flour, cocoa and baking powder .
3. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for 30 minutes until firm in the centre. Cool in the tin and then cut into squares.
