2 March 2017
FareShare are proud to be named as charity partner of the European Pizza and Pasta Show, planned for 15-16 November 2017 at Olympia London and organised in association with PAPA -The Pizza, Pasta and Italian Food Association. FareShare and the Trussell Trust, are appointed as charity partners of the trade show with the aim of raising awareness of food insecurity and hunger in the UK.

The European Pizza and Pasta Show is Europe’s largest trade exhibition for Pizza and Pasta brands bringing together food and beverage manufacturers, suppliers and distributors with UK and Europe’s leading wholesalers, retailers, restaurant operators and independent restaurants, as well as hotels and catering companies. Over two days at Olympia London, the event will be home to 200+ exhibitors, 1000+ brands and will host in excess of 5,000 trade buyers. The programme includes three culinary competitions, seminar theatre, International Food Licensing and Franchising Centre and a standalone conference with over 28 speakers and 200 delegates representing the “who-is-who” in the global food industry.

Lindsay Boswell, FareShare CEO says: “We are delighted to be named as charity partner for the European Pizza & Pasta Show. This partnership is valuable for us in two ways. Firstly, food that becomes surplus at the end of the show will be made available to FareShare, so that we can redistribute it to local charities. Additionally, we will benefit from exposure to food businesses that both exhibit and attend the show, helping to spread the word about the work we do to tackle food waste and hunger to key audiences.”

Slava Blagoeva-Duschell, MD of The European Pizza and Pasta Show, says: “More can be done to eradicate poverty and hunger in the UK. Working together with our association – PAPA and the whole UK F&B Industry is a privilege and an opportunity to support our charities – FareShare and The Trussell Trust, who are at the forefront of the war on hunger and poverty in the UK. I believe in the positive social consciousness of our industry. United we can make a lasting impact!”
