“We are now offering the opportunity to invest in this exciting new development.

Investment could be financial or through the provision of expertise, equipment or resources”
Tony Lowe,
Managing Director, FareShare

Project funding

Many companies have become aware of the need to demonstrate good corporate social responsibility. FareShare is able to work with you to develop mutually beneficial, integrated partnerships through an understanding of corporate partners’ objectives, and being clear and direct about the charity’s objectives and future plans.

By working closely with the FareShare team, companies can develop innovative solutions to meet the needs of community projects and the vulnerable groups with which they work. This ensures that their donation is well spent and enhances the reputation of the company by highlighting their commitment to the community.

Cause related marketing

FareShare is keen to work as a partner in promotional activity, particularly in order for it to achieve a high street presence in year-round promotions. Our team is happy to generate ideas and work to answer specific commercial objectives.

Benefits of cause-related marketing:

  • Increased sales: 86% of consumers agree that when price and quality are equal, they are more likely to buy a product associated with a cause
  • Brand enhancement through association with a charity that people care about: 25% of people across Britain think that homelessness is the biggest issue facing Britain today. In London, this figure increases to 33%, putting homelessness before education in terms of their practices.

The statistics above clearly demonstrate the opportunities, such as product differentiation, which are achievable through a cause-related marketing promotion with FareShare.

Sponsorship opportunities

We invite you to support our work by sponsoring our website, our publications or one of our events or exhibitions. Sponsors logos will be clearly visible, and potential exists to include editorial or endorsing letters, and hold launch events.

Benefits of sponsoring FareShare events and publications:

  • Create a 'feel-good' factor about the company amongst the aforementioned audiences, staff, clients and suppliers.
  • Create a ‘feel-good’ factor about the company amongst the aforementioned audiences, staff, clients and suppliers.
  • Enhance your brand through association with a charity that is trusted to deliver long-term practical solutions for vulnerable people in the community and a cause that consumers care about
  • Position the company as an expert in the field of social responsibility and as a promoter of best practice.
Gifts in kind and time

FareShare attempts to keep the running costs of its projects to a minimum by securing gifts of products and services from the private sector.

A full list of requirements is available on request but we are always looking for donations of:

  • Transport (fuel, vehicles, insurance)
  • Free training and conference facilities
  • Computer hardware and IT training
Employee involvement

From employee fundraising to staff volunteering, our team can work with staff in companies to help them develop, plan and deliver successful fundraising events.

The team are also experienced in running team building employee challenge days for companies. We would usually ask a company to make a financial donation towards FareShare’s work to organise this kind of activity.

FareShare benefits from secondments and would welcome offers of skilled staff, particularly in management. Mentors and advisors are also invaluable to us.

Payroll giving

Running a payroll-giving scheme provides companies with the opportunity to support their employees’ personal choice of charities. The government has shown its determination to launch a new ‘Age of Giving’ by abolishing the maximum limit on giving through one’s payroll. Companies can launch a new payroll-giving scheme or re-launch an existing scheme in partnership with FareShare. We would be delighted to work with any companies wishing to do this, or to simply inform their staff about the opportunity to give tax effectively to charity.

Benefits of employee involvement:

  • A means for staff to get to know colleagues from different departments
  • An opportunity for employees to gain an insight into our work in the community
  • Team building exercise and motivational boost for company employees.

List of possible benefits to companies supporting the programme:

Media: A company can generate positive PR in trade press and local media by organising events and photo-calls with a FareShare project. FareShare has generated substantial media interest on national TV, in national press and trade magazines.

Public association with social welfare: FareShare can offer visible branding to sponsors on vans, websites, and literature and at events and launches. Unlike many landfill tax recipients, FareShare is a social welfare project, where homeless and vulnerable individuals will directly receive benefit from the rebate. The problems of homelessness and social exclusion are important to many British people.
