How you can help FareShare tackle food poverty

With an estimated four million people in the UK not being able to afford a healthy diet - your help is needed. There are many ways you can help tackle food poverty:

Make a donation: There are several ways to help vulnerable people have a fresh start everyday; from setting up a regular gift to a one off donation or payroll giving or leaving a legacy to FareShare. Read more on how to donate

Supply surplus food: Reduce your costs - supply surplus fresh food to FareShare. We work with food wholesalers and retailers to provide tailored solutions to waste or surplus needs, complying to strict Food Hygiene Bureau regulations. Read more on making food donations

Charitable Trusts and Foundations:  83p of every pound donated to FareShare is directly spent on charitable activities. This means that 83% of all income will go directly to relieving food poverty, an achievement of which we are very proud.

Through the ongoing support of trusts and foundations FareShare have been able to continue our core activity of redistributing surplus food and to develop new initiatives to help us to tackle food poverty and reach more beneficiaries. Read more about our grant funding

Corporate membership scheme: To enable us to develop the food charity for the 21st Century we ask you to bring your support to the table and invest in FareShare by joining our Corporate Membership Scheme. Read more information about the scheme

Company involvement: FareShare has substantial experience in working with the corporate sector. We understand commercial priorities and work with partners to ensure support not only works for homeless and vulnerable people, but also generates benefits for partner companies. Read more on corporate involvement

Volunteer for FareShare: We rely on the generous support of over 250 volunteers to help run and manage the project and offer a variety of opprtunities. Read more on volunteering for FareShare

Printer cartridge recycling scheme: Turn your used printer and fax cartridges into a meal for a homeless and vulnerable person. Read more on the printer cartridge scheme

Mobile phone recycling scheme: Your old mobile is worth £2.50 to FareShare. Read more on the mobile phone recycling scheme
