From surplus food to festive feast

This December we’ve been redistributing surplus turkeys, mince pies and more all around the country. Chefs at some of the 1,711 charities and community groups we support have been busy working their magic to turn it into festive feasts. Take a look below to follow the food from depot to dinner:

Christmas lunch


Surplus carrots and parsnips saved from waste and ready for redistribution at FareShare Greater Manchester.





We’ve redistributed over 90,000 brussell sprouts so far this December. These ones at FareShare London are on their way to charities across the capital such as homeless hostels and those working with vulnerable children.

Stuart, a resident at Emmaus Sheffield, takes delivery of FareShare food. Stuart will be making dinner for Emmaus Sheffield’s community, all of whom are formerly homeless, on Christmas day .
